Faroeste Matemático

The Mathematical Western game is an educational game focused on solving simple algebraic expressions involving the four basic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

This game was developed as an academic project at the Federal Institute of Bahia (IF Baiano), Senhor do Bonfim Campus, in the Graphic Applications course of the Computer Science degree program.

The gameplay is based on the Wild West style, with a thematic setting focused on this style. The game features a central character who can reload their weapon with three types of bullets. Each bullet carries a specific number.

Meanwhile, enemies appear on the screen and advance towards the player. These enemies carry algebraic expressions. The focus of the game is for the player to choose the bullet with the correct number and shoot the enemy whose algebraic expression's solution (result) is the value of the bullet. When hit, the enemy is eliminated.

The game continues until a maximum number of enemies is hit, ending the match. If the enemy hits the player, the player dies and returns to the options screen.

The game has difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, and Hard) for each type of operation. It also includes the "All" option, which aims to match enemies with algebraic expressions containing a combination of these operations.

It's a progressive game that allows for the development of reasoning speed in a fun and exciting (euphoric) way.
