Discover how Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) work in an interactive and engaging way with this Augmented Reality (AR) app. Developed in Unity 3D and featuring QR Code recognition via Vuforia, the app displays all stages of the water treatment process directly on real surfaces, such as countertops or physical models.
Ideal for teachers, students, and science enthusiasts, this resource allows:
• Touchscreen interaction with each stage of the process;
• Animated visualization of WTP equipment and flows;
• Interdisciplinary learning based on concepts from Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Mathematics;
• Support for STEM approaches in the classroom.
The app was tested with high school students and demonstrated high engagement potential, sparking interest and facilitating the understanding of complex content.
