Core gameplay needs work, as it's hard to get excited about a TD with no mazing, very limited decision making, and (nearly) no building / construction. Progression systems are a lot more interesting, albeit v. grindy. I'd prefer if the game went "all in" on its idle / incremental elements, as these are much more enjoyable than the active gameplay. In particular making the defense and gold generation activity happen in real-time (i.e. passive, the same way as potion brewing).
