Mesh system works okay, but app has never worked well. Now just crashes when I try to view wireless clients

Getting nowhere. I have a manually configured 2862/960 mesh. I can see the nodes in the app, but the dialogue of adding and naming network is making no sense. App kept hanging so reinstalled but unable to use as all documentation assumes starting from scratch.
