Everything has been until 2 weeks ago. I came to see if anyone else has been having issues with access to the app?

I have been satisfied with the bluefish hardware until recently. costs were paid up front, the light has been running for 6 years. now suddenly I am being asked to pay $2.99 a month to keep my light on? Extremely disappointing cash grab with no option to control the light locally anymore. Would never trust buying any product from Spencer Shepard in the future.
