The HCA2NA application is a new approach to supporting Healthcare Assistants who may be interested in a nursing career but lack the information or confidence to pursue this path. It focuses on the Nursing Associate role an ideal entry point into nursing for Healthcare Assistants.
Using engaging “games-based learning” across four completely free mini courses, the HCA2NA app helps you answer key questions like:
• What does a Nursing Associate do?
• Could I become a Nursing Associate?
• How do I go about becoming a Nursing Associate?
You can use the app on your own or ‘play’ with family, friends and colleagues in multi-player mode too! It will help you gain the confidence and skills required to successfully apply for and enrol as a Student Nursing Associate. Sponsored by the Ufi Voctech Trust and created in conjunction with NHS approved course providers as a “no pressure” approach to exploring the world of the Nursing Associate. You can do as many or as few of the activities as you like all at your own pace, there are no tests to take, and no in-app purchases.
