AGLV 788 HELIODON

The objective of this experiment is to study bioclimatic architectural design, analyzing solar incidence on models of buildings or urban spaces using the Heliodon bench. The simulation allows us to understand how the solar trajectory affects natural lighting and the heat received by the building throughout the day and in different months of the year. In the end, it is expected to be able to make strategic decisions about room placement in architectural projects to maximize thermal comfort and energy efficiency.

To carry out the experiment, Heliodon will be used, manipulating the side knobs to adjust the latitude, the bottom knob to simulate the hours of the day, and the ruler to represent the months of the year. It is important to wear closed-toe shoes as a standard safety measure during practice.
