Review summary

Users report serious issues with the myAlerts app failing to provide vital emergency notifications for their selected areas while sometimes sending irrelevant or duplicate alerts elsewhere. The app lacks customization for alert types and does not allow deleting saved locations. Although it once delivered rapid warnings, recent performance is unreliable and inconsistent across devices, leading to user frustration and distrust. Battery drain during location monitoring and confusing alert displays further reduce its usefulness. Despite some positives, these major flaws compromise its role as a dependable alert tool.
Pros
  • App used to work well and provided early severe weather alerts ahead of other sources.
  • Clear and straightforward interface for receiving alerts.
  • Helpful for monitoring multiple locations simultaneously.
  • Test alert feature allows users to verify notifications.
  • Useful on some devices (e.g., iPhone) where alerts are received reliably.
Cons
  • Fails to send timely or any alerts for severe weather and emergencies in selected areas.
  • Sends duplicate alerts for the same event if multiple areas overlap.
  • Alerts often show for locations not selected by the user.
  • No option to customize alert types or toggle specific warnings on or off.
  • Inability to delete saved locations, causing clutter and confusion.
  • App is a heavy battery drain when monitoring current location.
  • Alerts can arrive with no matching details or cannot be found in the app once notified.
  • Erratic performance across different devices, with some users receiving no alerts despite active threats.

Works great! Had a device that couldn't get wireless emergency alerts for a while, so this app was needed and it served me well! It's definitely a little clunky but it never failed me.

Well I downloaded it but never got to use it as some one has been looking into my phone and number threw multiple devices that I don't have. They also are seeing off a public alert. So wonderful for the harassment. I did how ever àquire an attorney and contacted the developer we will see where this goes.
