Laboratory - QR Time Clock

Laboratory is the workplace app for part-time and hourly workers. Clock in with a QR scan, watch your hours and estimated pay add up, and handle everything your manager sends you — all in one place.

No account to create, no password to remember. Open the app, enter the join code your manager gives you, and you're linked to your workplace. From then on every check-in and check-out lands in the workplace records right away, so your hours stay accurate without paperwork.

What you can do

✔ QR clock-in / clock-out — scan the rotating code posted at your workplace to record your shift to the minute
✔ Live status — a running clock, today's scheduled shift, and whether you're currently clocked in
✔ This week at a glance — days that went as planned collapse to a single line, so a late start or a long day stands out
✔ Hours and estimated pay — this month's total, with base pay, overtime, night and weekly-holiday allowance itemized
✔ Leave requests — request time off yourself, follow the decision, and cancel it while it's still pending
✔ To-dos — today's tasks, yours and the shop's, ticked off as you go
✔ Notices — read what your manager posts, and answer right there when they ask a question
✔ Employment contract — wage, hours, rest days and payday in writing; read it and sign with your finger
✔ Reports — fill in and submit the shift reports your manager set up
✔ Board — post and comment with your manager and the rest of the team
✔ Monthly schedule — your shifts on a calendar
✔ Notifications — a leave decision, a new notice or contract, and a nudge if your shift has started and you haven't clocked in

Who it's for

Part-time and hourly workers at cafes, convenience stores, restaurants and retail shops whose workplace already runs on the laboratory.stable.codes management system. Your manager sets you up and shares the join code — if they don't use it yet, there is nothing for the app to connect to.

The pay figures are an estimate that helps you follow your own hours — they are not a payslip. Income tax and social-insurance deductions are not applied, and public holidays other than Sundays are not counted as holiday work.
