Where I live, where I go on living, where I want to live. 25 Seoul districts.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Where I live, where I go on living, where I want to live.

Home is about the first decision two people make together: where to live. Two budgets, two commutes, two ideas of a good evening go on one table — and there is no single right answer, only a trade-off both people can live with.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Read the evidence without an account. Rent and sale transactions from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport; business, census and district figures from Statistics Korea; Seoul cultural events; and search interest by age band — seven streams, each card carrying its source.
• Compare the 25 districts of Seoul. Median deposit, median monthly rent, median floor area, how many transactions closed, and the change from the previous contract month.
• Answer separately, in about five minutes. Six conditions — commute anchor, work style, commute tolerance, tenure, budget band, child plan — then eight scenes where you pick whichever one pulls at you.
• Get three ways to live instead of a ranking. Each names a district, states what is actually observed there, and says what it costs you against the other two.
• Read the Living Editorial — three interviews that trace a way of thinking down to one scene of living.

HOW THE RECOMMENDATION WORKS

A deterministic weighted sum over public data. No model inference, and no score, grade or ordering on the screen. Commute times are pre-built from the Seoul public-transit transfer-route service, so an axis with no data for you is left out and the screen says which one and why, instead of quietly counting it as zero.

WHAT WE ASK FOR, AND WHAT WE NEVER ASK FOR

Ranges only — an age band, a district, a tenure, a budget band. Never a street address, never a workplace address, never assets or debts, and no bank account is ever connected. You can delete your account and everything stored with it from inside the app.

Originals stay where they were published. We keep the title, the summary and the link, and send you to the source.

Home also runs on the web at laboratory.stable.codes — the same screens, the same data.
