Wordlore: Norse Saga

The gods of shadow hold the Nine Realms. Win them back one stone at a time.

Wordlore is a turn-based duel of dice, runes and words. Every stone hides a grid of words written in ancient runes. Roll to learn which rune is which letter, carve letters into the stone for points, and read a word the moment you can see it. Read it before your rival does, or they steal it.

CARVE, READ, OUTWIT
• Two actions a turn: roll, carve or read.
• Every carve scores; every word read scores more.
• Carve the last letter of a word and your rival can read it first. Choose your moments.

A SAGA ACROSS NINE REALMS
• 130 stones from Midgard to Helheim, each realm held by a usurper.
• Warriors, generals and bosses, each with a curse: the Tide stops your chisel, Frost steals your actions, Rot unmakes what you carved.
• Earn up to three stars on every stone to open each act's boss.

PATRONS, RELICS AND WARDS
• Every freed realm lends you its patron and their power: Heimdall's Farsight, Freyr's Harvest, Thor's Thunder and more.
• Buy rites to make your patron stronger.
• Win relic shards in Barrow Raids and forge nine relics.
• Take a ward into battle to block a curse or a steal.

DEFEND WHAT YOU WIN
• Free three realms and the usurpers you beat begin to stir. Every stone you lose fills their resistance.
• When it's full, one returns and challenges you for their realm. Defend it within two days, or it falls back into shadow until you win it again.

A NEW RUNE EVERY DAY
• The Daily Rune: slide the stones until the rune is whole. A new puzzle every day, a streak to keep, and spoils for finishing in par.

RAID THE BARROWS
• Light a torch and descend: two stones against the draugr and a sealed rune, all against the clock. Claim the hoard.
