CourseDesigner puts a course designer's paperwork on your phone, at the ringside.

Draw the track. The app measures it the way you would with a measuring wheel: along the line the horse actually rides, curves included, not fence to fence in a straight line. Every related distance is checked against the stride tables: how many strides, and whether it rides true, long, short, or lands on a half stride.

• Place fences on a scaled arena; with snapping on, they land on true striding distances

BUILT ON PUBLISHED FIGURES
Distances come from a regression of the British Showjumping distance guide and line up with the FFE and FEI ranges. Pony distances are derived from the official table by height. Combination limits, course length, time allowed and penalties follow the FEI and FFE rules, and each figure shows its source.

YOU CAN OVERRULE ANY RULE
Rulebooks change, federations differ, and schooling is not bound by them. Every rule can be edited and any warning accepted on purpose, but a plan that departs from the rules says so on the printed sheet.
