Claude Chat Exporter lets you export Claude conversations from claude.ai to Markdown, JSON, or HTML with one click. Capture complete chats without scrolling, including artifacts, code, thinking blocks, inline citations, full web source URLs, file attachments, timestamps, tables, lists, and headings. Optional YAML frontmatter makes Markdown files ready for Obsidian, Hugo, Jekyll, or Claude Projects.

Choose which content to include, such as sources, artifacts, thinking blocks, attachments, and timestamps. Exports are clean and readable, use dated filenames, preserve titles in any writing system, and follow Claude’s light or dark theme. Everything runs locally in Firefox with no third-party servers, data collection, or transmission. The extension supports Claude web conversations at claude.ai; Claude Code sessions, the CLI, and desktop app are not supported.

Adds emojis to every instance of each speaker's name in the transcript, which itself is a non-starter for me. The persistent giant glowing purple button is also something that just doesn't fly (you could at least try to make it match Claude's own interface). Also does not allow you to customize the file name format or the properties in the yaml frontmatter. Overall pretty non-customizable and makes choices which I find don't jive with my personal preferences.

Does the job, but requires post-processing. The content is duplicated in the created .md file and contains page visuals that don't belong there. Paragraph spacing and heading levels are off. Even when switched off, times and other metadata are included.
