Classic Google Icons Firefox

Classic Google Icons

Use the pre-2020 Material Design icons for Google products like Gmail, Calendar, and Maps.

Features & Capabilities

Classic Google Icons is a Chrome extension that lets you bring back the classic pre-2020 Material Design icons for popular Google apps like Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and Maps. If you're not a fan of Google's newer icon designs, this tool replaces the favicons and in-page icons to restore the familiar look you prefer. This extension operates independently and is not affiliated with Google LLC, respecting all trademark properties.

Ideal for users who value the traditional Google icon aesthetics, Classic Google Icons enhances your browsing experience by making Google's product pages visually consistent with their earlier design style.

User Reviews

A brilliant concept, with brilliant results. Only problem is, sometimes, the logos in the websites change (which is obviously the intention), but the thumbnails on the tabs and bookmarks bar do not change (or even vice-versa). I hope that these issues are quickly fixed, since I find this addon to be truly underrated, as someone who has got used to, but still doesn't really like the look of the September 2020 icons.
