What is PDFmyURL?

PDFmyURL is a Chrome extension that helps you save web pages as PDF while browsing. It uses the PDFmyURL.com service to create a PDF of the page as you view it. Simply install the extension, go to the desired page, click the PDFmyURL button, and a new tab will open with your PDF. It works for most pages, excluding those heavily reliant on JavaScript, displaying a PDF, or extremely large. AdBlocker is recommended for a clean PDF experience.

How to use:

1 Install the PDFmyURL Extension 2 Go to the page you wish to PDF 3 Click the PDFmyURL button 4 Once the PDF is created, a new tab will open with your PDF

It will work for most pages (also when you're on a protected site or on your local system), but unfortunately not for all pages. Some pages that may not work:

pages that heavily rely on JavaScript to run locally, such as Gmail
pages that display a PDF

This extension does not work the way the same company's website interface does: https://pdfmyurl.com/. The website URL to PDF works extremely well - the best of about 8 services I tested. (For a free choice, just use Chrome's "Print" functionality and select "Save as PDF" - but https://pdfmyurl.com/ works slightly better so it was worth $15/yr.) Bottom line: The website functionality is great; the same functionality in this toolbar extension is junk. PDFs for some websites are illegible (though they turn out great at the website).
