Features & Capabilities

CHECK — Check before you buy.

Looking for a used phone, computer, motorcycle, or car? Before making a decision, make CHECK your first step.

CHECK helps you view reports associated with an item, save your own, and report them as lost or stolen. It's a simple way to be better informed before buying and to make your items identifiable.

CHECK FOR FREE, NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED

Enter or scan the item's identifier: IMEI, serial number, license plate, VIN, chassis number, or CHECK ID.

In seconds, check its status in CHECK:

• NOT REPORTED: No active reports in CHECK.

• REPORTED LOST: The item has been reported lost.

• REPORTED STOLEN: The item has been reported stolen.

• NOT REGISTERED: The item is not registered in CHECK.

You can access this information without creating an account and without seeing the owner's personal data.

REGISTER YOUR ITEMS

Gather your phones, computers, motorcycles, and cars in one place. Each registered item receives a unique CHECK ID.

Add your supporting documents and any other information needed to identify it: invoice, receipt, or photo.

Registration starts at 1,000 FCFA, depending on the type of item. Verification remains free.

REPORT A LOSS OR THEFT

Is your item lost or stolen? Report it through the app and confirm the report with your PIN.

Anyone who subsequently checks the item in CHECK will be able to view its status.

STAY NOTIFIED OF CHECKS

Receive a notification when one of your registered items is searched for on CHECK. The identity of the person performing the check remains confidential.

A SIMPLE EVERYDAY EXPERIENCE

• Log in with your phone number and 4-digit PIN.

• Optional fingerprint or Face ID.

• Built-in scanner for IMEI, license plate, and CHECK QR codes.

Delete your account from within the app.

UNDERSTANDING THE RESULTS

CHECK is a decision-making tool. An "unregistered" item is not necessarily legitimate. An "unreported" item has no active reports in CHECK at the time of the search.

These results do not guarantee the item's origin or the seller's right to sell it. Always request supporting documentation before finalizing your purchase.

Have you CHECK'd the motorcycle?
