Dynamic New Tab is a Chrome extension that allows you to have a changing new tab background. It supports local directories and Imgur. You can customize the background URL, sizing, position, and change time. It also offers options to remove the search bar and logo from the new tab. Incognito mode is supported and future updates will add more features.

I wanted an extension to create a slideshow of local images onto the new tab page and this is exactly what I needed. I also like the background sizing function. suggestion: the background swap is done through sliding, and I think it'd be better for example if there's a box beside it where the user can input the duration in seconds and set it however he likes and make the slider move on larger steps like, 0-15-30-60 and so on. suggestion 2: the max. duration is 2 hours, I wish you could increase it to 6 hours.
