ChatGPT simple Widescreen

ChatGPT Widescreen is a minimal Firefox extension that makes the ChatGPT interface use more horizontal space on widescreen displays.

The extension is intentionally simple and focused. It only injects a small CSS override on https://chatgpt.com/* to widen the visible chat area.

It does not add features, menus, or controls. It only alters some CSS on the site and nothing more.

This add-on was created by Arne, with support from ChatGPT.

The add-on package contains:

• manifest.json
• widescreen.css
• icon files in icons/

This extension is designed to be minimal.

It does not read or transmit user data. It does not collect usage information. Its purpose is limited to applying CSS styling on ChatGPT pages matched by the manifest.

To test the extension locally:

1. Open about:debugging
2. Select This Firefox
3. Click Load Temporary Add-on...
4. Choose manifest.json from this folder
5. Reload any open ChatGPT tab

This version is structured for submission to Mozilla Add-ons.

Because Mozilla's built-in data-collection declaration used by this extension is supported from Firefox 140 on desktop and Firefox for Android 142, those are the declared minimum browser versions.

For permanent installation in normal Firefox Release, Mozilla signing is required.
