VURN - No Phone Messenger

VURN is a private messenger built on one idea: you should be able to talk to someone without handing over your identity.

NO PHONE NUMBER, NO EMAIL
Sign up with a username and a password. That is all. We never ask for your phone number, your email address, or your contacts.

END-TO-END ENCRYPTED
Messages, photos, videos, files, voice notes and calls are encrypted on your device. The keys never leave it. Our servers relay encrypted data they cannot read.

CHANNELS
- Private channels: end-to-end encrypted, invisible to search, joinable by invite link only.
- Public channels: open broadcasts anyone can follow. Public channel posts are not encrypted, and the app says so clearly before you post.
- The channels you follow are stored only on your device. The server never knows who follows what.
- Vote on public channels. The top 10 list is ranked by votes and is the same for everyone.

NO ALGORITHM, NO PROFILING
No personalized feed, no contact suggestions, no "people you may know". People find each other by exact username only. Nothing is recommended based on who you are, and you are never recommended to anyone.

WHAT WE DON'T KEEP
Delivered messages are removed from the server. IP addresses are never permanently logged. There are no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs in the app. No read receipts, no typing indicators, no last seen.

HONEST LIMITS
No messenger can protect you from someone screenshotting a chat, or from a compromised device. Disappearing messages only remove your own copy. Public channel posts are visible to everyone and are not end-to-end encrypted. We say what the app does and what it does not do, in plain language, in our privacy policy.
