I happen to use ALDI mobile, so I'm out of luck. The system is overcomplicated for what it does and even for swiss customers it won't work in random cases like mine.

User Reviews
Users appreciate the concept of providing free internet access on Swiss trains and note it makes travel more comfortable, especially for those without unlimited data. However, common issues include the app requiring a Swiss phone number or SIM card, frequent disconnections, high battery consumption, and incompatibility with devices lacking cellular connections. Many users find the app overcomplicated, needing multiple permissions, and believe a simple WiFi hotspot with login page would be a better solution.
Pros
- Provides free internet connection on Swiss trains
- Makes travel more comfortable for users without unlimited data
- App works well on iPhone devices
- Allows mobile data quality internet access instead of traditional WiFi
Cons
- Requires users to have a Swiss phone number or SIM card, which excludes tourists and travelers abroad
- App frequently disconnects and requires manual reconnection
- Consumes battery power heavily running in the background
- Does not support devices without cellular connectivity such as laptops and tablets without SIM cards
- App requires many permissions like Bluetooth, location and data usage, raising privacy concerns
Recent reviews
Only works with a Swiss number!? Completely useless. Edit: I use an eSim for data all the time but getting one with a new number is massively inconvenient! Requiring this to use the WiFi on swiss trains is absurd and discriminatory against tourists
