Food and beverages can further contain other chemicals to make it easier to produce them or to give it certain properties like texture.
As a consumer it's often hard to uncover such components of a product and be well informed what he or she eats in the end. Eating harmful products can lead to sicknesses and feeling unwell so we better check what ingredients and e-numbers are printed on food and drinks to stay healthy and vital.
A good guidance is to favour organic produce and try to get as many natural, untreated products as possible.
