Traffic Mitra is an official mobile application developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Chandigarh to help citizens report traffic violations instantly and support safer roads in Chandigarh.

With a simple mobile number registration, secure PIN login, and easy-to-use reporting tools, Traffic Mitra enables every citizen to contribute to better traffic discipline.

🚦How It Works
Register using Mobile Number + OTP
Set a secure 4-digit PIN for all future logins
Capture at least one photo or video of the traffic violation
Enter the Vehicle Number
Select the Offence Type from predefined categories
Location auto-fills using GPS
Add optional Remarks

Submit — and the complaint is automatically forwarded to Chandigarh Traffic Police

👮Police Review Process
Traffic Police verify the submitted evidence
If valid, a Challan is issued to the offending vehicle
If not valid, the complaint may be Rejected
All actions are transparent and visible to the user
