Visions du Réel

Visions du Réel has been presenting bold and unique works since 1969, imbued with realities of the past, present, and future. For ten days, the Festival transforms Nyon into a meeting point where several generations of filmmakers and artists from around the world connect with a loyal and discerning audience. Recognized as one of the world's leading festivals dedicated to documentary cinema, it presents a majority of films as world or international premieres and serves as an essential creative platform for the thousands of film professionals who gather there each year.

The 57th edition of the Visions du Réel International Film Festival will take place from April 17 to 26, 2026, in Nyon and Gland. The program includes some 164 films – 83 of which are world premieres – as well as discussions and activities for all ages and audiences. In 2025, Visions du Réel welcomed over 53,000 spectators.
