La Roue Qui Marche

The La Roue Qui Marche application helps you count the meters covered during the 24 hours of the La Roue Qui Marche event, which aims to collectively reach a distance of 2,000,000 meters. You don't have to be active for all 24 hours, you can walk, roll, run or jog for as long as you want or can and then stop. You can start again later if you feel like it, and as many times as you want.
Time does not matter, no chrono, no podium, only winners who participated and contributed to the event.

But every meter counts!
Because every meter traveled brings us closer to the common goal.

The event takes place within a specific area, during a specific period. You must have registered and have a bib number to be able to use the application. Visit the Walking Wheel website to find out more.

The app allows you to record your meters traveled. If you are with family or in a small group with perhaps people without smartphones, you can choose to record the meters traveled for 2, 3 or 4 people. The distance will thus be multiplied by the size of the group.
The distance traveled is regularly transmitted to the event server which can thus count the distance of all participants. Progress can thus be monitored and communicated.

How to use the app:
- register for the event and obtain your bib number
- you can then use your application by specifying your bib number on the first screen
- on the day of the event, go there
- between the start time and the end time, you can set off on the course by pressing the orange button at the bottom center of the screen
- you must then make sure you are in the event area, specify the size of your group (if you are recording the meters for several people) and scan the QR code present at the start of the route to start counting the distance.
- when you want to stop (temporarily or permanently), press the STOP button to stop counting the distance
- a screen summarizing your contribution and that of your group is displayed

Good to know:
- at the end of the event, recording stops automatically. Your distance traveled up to this point will be counted
- if you leave the perimeter of the event, the recording stops automatically. Your distance traveled to the edge of the perimeter will be counted. You will have to return to the starting area to start recording again
