Good architecture is not only created in big cities. Rather, interesting buildings can also be visited in the surrounding area - even better: hike.

The Architekturforum Zürcher Oberland (AFZO) is developing this iPhone application to provide architecture lovers with a pocket-sized digital architecture guide. This makes it possible to find architecture that is worth seeing with pinpoint accuracy.

This mobile database of award-winning architecture in the Zurich Oberland is based on the building prizes awarded by the AFZO, which are re-advertised every three years.

The application includes:

- A list of all the AFZO projects that won the construction prize.

- Detailed information as well as plans and pictures of these buildings.

- Easier finding of good architecture via various categories.

- Precise location and route guidance via a route planner.

- Current information on meeting places, exhibitions and excursions of the AFZO.
