AfroConnect

AfroConnect is an innovative digital platform dedicated to Afro hairdressing in Switzerland, designed to easily connect clients with specialized hairdressers, regardless of their level of experience. It addresses a real need: quickly finding a trusted Afro hairdresser who is available, close to home, and within one’s budget.

For clients, AfroConnect completely simplifies the search process. Through an intuitive interface, they can discover hairdressers near their location, view profiles, see the types of hairstyles offered (braids, locs, twists, braids, treatments, wigs, etc.), compare adult/children prices, browse photos of previous work, and directly access contact details or directions. No more long searches on social media or unreliable word of mouth—everything is centralized in one place.

For hairdressers, AfroConnect is much more than a simple directory. It is a true visibility and growth tool. Whether you are an experienced professional, independent stylist, student, beginner, or trainee, anyone can sign up and create a profile for free. Hairdressers can showcase their skills, set their prices, define their service area, highlight their specialties, and attract new clients without relying on complex or expensive platforms.

AfroConnect promotes diversity of talent and encourages inclusion. Many talented Afro hairdressers work from home or as freelancers and lack visibility—the platform offers them a professional, credible, and accessible space. In this way, it helps structure and professionalize the Afro hairdressing sector in Switzerland.

Initially designed as a modern website, AfroConnect is gradually evolving into a mobile application to provide a smooth experience on Android and iOS. The platform focuses on simplicity, transparency, and trust between clients and hairdressers.

In summary, AfroConnect is a bridge between demand and talent—a local, practical, and human-centered solution that makes life easier for clients while creating real opportunities for Afro hairdressers across Switzerland.
