Word Count
Word Count will take a body of text and give a perfect count of the number of words as well as characters in the text.

The pop up window attached at top is pretty big, but will disappear when you choose something else. I prefer this over the context menu extensions, though I prefer a live selection (counts as you select) view vs click-and-find out. | |
