User Reviews

Overall, users love Cat-In-Tab for its cute, non-intrusive cats that interact with the page and mouse. They appreciate the light, well-made feel and the ability to run multiple cats and customize which ones appear. Some users note reliability issues on certain pages and want more features like petting, feeding, or a cursor-following mode. The extension is generally fun and unobtrusive, with simple management steps to enable or disable as needed.
Pros
  • Cute, adorable cats add charm to browsing.
  • Cats interact with the mouse (hover, click) and move with the page/scroll.
  • Non-intrusive and unobtrusive; doesn't hinder reading and can be quickly disabled.
  • Customizable with multiple cats and the option to choose which ones run.
  • Lightweight, well-made extension that runs in Firefox.
Cons
  • Sometimes inconsistent performance on certain pages where cats grey out or don't work.
  • Limited interactivity; users want petting/feeding features and cursor-following behavior.
  • Occasional reliability issues reported by some users (not working for them).

I do like this extension, however I wish there was more to do with the cats. The only thing the cats do as an interaction with the mouse seems to be doing another animation when the cursor hovers over them. The pixel sprites are also rather blurry, though that may just be my screen! Overall, it's a nice extension, but has little interaction oppurrtunities. It would definitely improve if we could grab and move the cats, or have a little toy option available to play with them!
