User Reviews

User reviews praise Eno for offering per-merchant virtual cards and added security, with occasional convenience when it works. However, widespread reliability problems dominate feedback: frequent loading failures, login/verification hurdles, and the need to manually copy-paste numbers. Additional issues include UI glitches, persistent freezes, and a lack of updates, all of which undermine the experience. Overall, the feature set is compelling but the extension is inconsistent and often a hassle to use.
Pros
  • Per-merchant virtual card numbers: allows a unique virtual card for each merchant.
  • Enhanced security: using virtual numbers helps protect your personal card data.
  • Convenience when it works: can generate a number on Capital One and paste it into the merchant site.
Cons
  • Unreliable performance: works only sometimes and often stalls, fails to load, or never loads.
  • Login/verification problems: frequent login issues and mobile number verification blockers.
  • No auto-fill: requires manual copy-paste of the generated card instead of auto-populating the checkout form.
  • UI/stability issues: janky behavior, freezing, and missing UI elements (e.g., icon).
  • Maintenance concerns: not updated for a long period, raising questions about security and reliability.
Recent reviews
Eno used to be really good, but no matter how many times I've uninstalled and reinstalled it over the last year, it almost never works. The extension disregards my request to stay logged in, so every time I try to use it, I need to log in, and then the window just hangs forever on 'checking session.' Just to damage my own sanity, I've left windows open for 30+ minutes, and still, it never logs in. Kind of amazing, honestly.

THIS ENO APP FROM CAPITAL ONE REQUIRES ME TO ALLOW THEM TO SEE EVERY WEBSITE I VISIT. I don't want to give that much of my personal data no matter what, and especially to give it to them for free.

It works nearly everywhere I have used it, and the copy/paste works on sites where it doesn't work automatically. I moved to Capital One to get virtual cards, and I didn't know how easy it would be to use.
