Camera Firefox

Camera

A camera app that allows you to take photos and selfies, record videos and GIF animations from a webcam.

Features & Capabilities

The Camera extension turns your webcam into a feature-rich studio. It works with built-in or external cameras and offers backlight, zoom, focus, frame size, image quality adjustments (brightness, sharpness, contrast, saturation, color temperature), frame rate, echo cancellation, noise suppression, and a framing grid. It can add a timestamp watermark as you capture media.

You can access real-time effects and masking via the web app from the extension, then crop, apply filters, add text, frames, stickers, and more. It is cross-platform and can run offline; the extension is free with a key from our site, with a premium option available. For help, please submit feedback at https://mara.photos/help/?id=contact.

Is Camera Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Camera requires very minimum permissions.
