Whistly is a location-based social signal platform that lets you send and receive real-time alerts (push notifications), and events in your selected vicinity. The application transforms community awareness by allowing people to share what's happening around them—from natural events like northern lights sightings to safety concerns in your neighbourhood, wild animals spotted nearby, a garage sale down the street, and local happenings.

Unlike traditional social media that relies on following people, or groups, Whistly lets users follow types of events in specific, selected locations, creating dynamic, location-aware information networks from your street to nearby real-time locations, or anywhere in the world.
