User Reviews
Pros
- Relaxing, simple gameplay that’s enjoyable and a great time-killer.
- Fun, engaging and invigorating play style with ongoing appeal.
- Event-based content and rare/special fish add variety and challenge.
- Progression is not pay-to-win; purchases and ads are optional (not required to progress).
- Long-term addictiveness; many players have stuck with it for years.
Cons
- Grinding and bait limitations make progression feel tedious and time-consuming.
- Some players report difficulty balancing: fish to catch are scarce, making targets hard to find.
- Ad rewards can be unreliable (e.g., upgraded chests not delivered) and ads/monetization can be inconsistent.
- The game can feel grindy later on, with diminishing returns.
- Occasional balance changes can make catching certain fish harder.
Recent reviews
The game's art style is cute. and it would be a pretty fun relaxing fishing game if it wasn't so heavily trying to nickel and dime you. Progression is incredibly slow and tedious unless you pay money. with the act of fishing being less relaxing and more so realizing that you sometimes just get trapped in an unwinnable battle with a fish because you didn't upgrade your rod enough so you can't reel it in before it swims off more. great concept but the aggressive monetization kills it, like most.
