Electrical Power Designer

For the electrical engineers who spend a lot of time and effort designing Low voltage power distribution networks and cabling, and going deeply into complex mathematical equations to complete compliant design with accurate calculation.

Now we introduce ELECTRICAL POWER DESIGNER.

In few words, ELECTRICAL POWER DESIGNER can make all the calculations for cables design, short circuit current for transformer and cables, voltage drop, power factor correction with capacitor bank and performs all calculation for power network project according to international standard.

ELECTRICAL POWER DESIGNER: Has three programs to calculate.

Power factor correction: To improve the power factor.

You enter the current power factor, the required power factor and the line to line voltage input. You get the capacitor bank value in KVAR, the current before correction, the current after correction, and the current in the capacitor bank.


Cable design: To calculate the cable cross section area and cable specification.

Choose the power input (KVA, KW, HP, or AMP) and enter the input voltage, load, derating factor, no of parallel cable, choose cable type (XLPE or PVC), (copper or aluminum), Method of installation, cable length, max short circuit current, max voltage drop and max short circuit duration in millisecond. You get cable cross section area, actual voltage drop, max allowed short circuit, and the current per cable.


Short circuit calculation: To calculate the short circuit from the transformer to the last panel board for up to 4 stages.

You enter input voltage line to line, transformer power in KVA, and the transformer impedance (percentage). You will get the short circuit current on transformer terminal in KA. Then, go to the next stage You will see in the first field the previous result, Then enter the cable size in mm2 using drop down list, the cable conductor (Copper or Aluminum), Cable insulation material (PVC or XLPE), Cable length in meters, and the number of parallel cables. You get total short circuit current at the end of the cable I (in KA) and the short circuit current per cable if you have more than one parallel cable. Then go to the next stage and repeat the previous steps. You can go up to 4 stages.
