Kid Emu

Kid Emu is a simple home launcher front end with dual-screen & single screen device support! Allowing you to to control what you add to your home, the app gives you full control with the many features packed inside!

Parents (or adults) can choose exactly what appears in Kid Emu. Add approved installed apps or games, create entries for supported local game files, select which compatible app or game should open each file, and protect Parent Mode with a PIN or password.

CUSTOMIZE THE KID-FRIENDLY HOME SCREEN
- Choose a grid layout or a console-style horizontal layout or both.
- Show or hide app names, the clock, battery information, and the layout switcher.
- Set a custom wallpaper and screen orientation.
- Keep the last selected item in focus when the device wakes so you can continue where you left off!
- Use Kid Emu as the device's home app for a more controlled experience giving your device a more console like experience!
- Enable additional parent security options when needed!

DUAL-SCREEN SUPPORT
- Immersive dual-screen device experience giving you different layout options to showcase and jump into your games or apps easily!
- Screen launch feature allows you to choose which screen you want your apps or games to always launch on!
- Custom keyboard option allows you to have the Kid Emu custom keyboard appear on the opposite screen for which the screen you chose to launch it on.

OPEN LOCAL GAME FILES WITH COMPATIBLE APPS
Kid Emu can show compatible apps already installed on the device and let the parent choose which one should open a selected file. When no compatible app is installed, Kid Emu may provide an optional link to a suggested emulators or compatible apps.

Kid Emu is a launcher, not an emulator. It does not include or download games, ROMs, BIOS files, firmware, or copyrighted game content. Users must provide their own legally obtained files and compatible applications.

WHY KID EMU ACCESSES INSTALLED APP INFORMATION
Discovering installed apps is a core part of KidEmu's launcher functionality. The parent app picker must show the applications available on the device so a parent can approve, hide, add, and launch apps, detect when apps are installed or removed, and identify compatible apps for user-selected files.

Installed-app information is processed locally on the device. KidEmu does not upload or sell the installed-app inventory and does not use it for advertising or analytics.

PRIVACY-FOCUSED
- No Kid Emu account is required.
- Parent settings and launcher entries remain on the device only so if you uninstall the app, everything is wiped.
- No behavioral advertising or developer-operated analytics.
- No games or personal files are uploaded to DNA Mobile Applications.

Kid Emu is intended to be installed and configured by a parent or guardian. Parents remain responsible for selecting age-appropriate apps and reviewing the privacy practices of third-party apps or games opened through KidEmu.
