Byelinear Firefox

Byelinear

By: fi-le
Encourages the HTML-Renderer to use high-contrast - nearest-neighbor-like image and video scaling. Say goodbye to bilinear!

Features & Capabilities

Byelinear is a Chrome extension designed for pixel art lovers and those nostalgic for the crisp visuals of standard definition media. It instructs the browser's HTML-renderer to apply high-contrast image and video scaling that mimics nearest-neighbor interpolation, producing sharper and more pixelated visuals instead of the typical blurry bilinear scaling. Users can enjoy a clear, retro aesthetic while also benefiting from marginal performance improvements. Ideal for enhancing pixel art content and revitalizing low-resolution media viewing experiences.

It works exactly how it says! It even gives an option to only apply to videos, or only apply to images. As someone who occasionally works with low resolution images, it's a godsend!
