BusinessProxy — managed work access to web apps, right in the browser. No device VPN, no OS agent.

BusinessProxy is a Firefox extension for companies that gives employees, contractors and external users controlled access to work web apps and private internal systems — fast, secure and fully under the administrator's control. Instead of a heavy VPN that drops the whole device onto your corporate network, BusinessProxy opens access only to the apps and domains the administrator has approved. Nothing more.

The user's personal internet stays personal: only policy-approved work traffic goes through the service. Everything else goes direct and is not managed by the service.

WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES

• Signs the user in, verifies them and registers the work device. • Fetches the work policy and configures browser routing automatically — no manual proxy setup. • Routes only the approved work domains and apps (work-domains-only mode). • Launches private internal web apps through a friendly external address — without exposing internal hostnames or private IPs. • Issues short-lived access sessions: credentials last minutes and refresh automatically. • Protects content on the app page: a dynamic watermark and deterrents against copy, print and screen capture (best-effort, not an absolute guarantee). • Fully logged, instantly revocable sessions — the administrator sees activity and can cut access off in one click.

WHY IT'S EASIER THAN A VPN

• Onboarding in minutes: the user installs the extension and signs in — no VPN client, agent or imaged laptop to roll out. • Great for personal devices (BYOD): work access doesn't interfere with calls, banking or personal apps and doesn't "take over" the device. • Scoped to the Chrome browser profile: no OS-level network interface, no tunnel to the whole network, no IPsec/WireGuard/OpenVPN. • Lower risk: a contractor gets a specific app — not your entire network — and only while it's allowed.

HOW IT WORKS

1. In the web dashboard the administrator creates workspaces, adds users and sets policy: which domains and apps are allowed, which egress region, which limits.
2. The user installs the extension, signs in and receives the policy.
3. The extension routes only approved work traffic through the service; everything else goes direct.
4. For private apps, access is opened through a managed external address and a secured channel — with no inbound ports opened in the client's network.
5. Every access event is recorded; the administrator can revoke a session at any time.

BusinessProxy does not sell data and does not use it for advertising. On the browser path the service works at the domain and network-metadata level and does not decrypt HTTPS page content (it uses the standard CONNECT method, with no certificate substitution). Logs contain technical, de-identified access events (user, workspace, destination domain, time, volume, policy decision); they do not contain request or response bodies, passwords, tokens or page content. The short-lived access password is kept only in volatile browser session storage and is cleared when the browser closes.

The extension's use of data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: data is used only to deliver the extension's single purpose — managed, browser-scoped access to organization-approved web applications.

WHAT BUSINESSPROXY DOES NOT DO

We state the boundaries plainly: • it is not an anonymity, unblocking, scraping, spam or bot-traffic tool; • it is not a consumer proxy and not a "pick a country" service for circumventing restrictions; • it is not a device-wide VPN and not a replacement for endpoint protection, antivirus or a firewall; • on the browser path HTTPS content is not decrypted, so it is not a traffic-inspection tool.

ACCOUNT REQUIRED

The extension works together with the BusinessProxy service and is built for business use: access requires an account and a workspace managed by an organization's administrator. It is a managed work-access tool, not a standalone consumer proxy.
