User Reviews
Pros
- Useful for existing Buffer users to curate, schedule and share content (blog posts, publications, content planning).
- Simple/minimalist design — performs well when it’s working.
- Makes sharing to social media straightforward and helpful for content workflows.
Cons
- Extension settings and options are frequently unchangeable — defaults cannot be modified.
- Composer/text editor is buggy: it can alter, duplicate or drop pasted/typed text.
- Unstable or incompatible with recent Firefox versions for some users, making the add-on unusable at times.

works perfect

Extension is minimalist and excise. Buffer seem to be ignorant about further development. E.g. current integrations to sites ignore new social medias on the market, like BlueSky, various fediverse sites. Also, no integrations for LinkedIn suggests it doesn't think of business use. With Buffer's own deficiencies, like underdeveloped 'idea' item kanban concept and lack of price offer for small businesses, it makes overall experience mediocre, requiring more effort than done.

Is Buffer Safe?
Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
Buffer requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.
Buffer is probably trust-worthy. Prefer other publishers if available. Exercise caution when installing this add-on.
