Browser Control MCP

By: EyalZ
Provides AI assistants with safe access to tab management, browsing history and webpage text content via a local MCP (Model Context Protocol) connection.

Features & Capabilities

Enables AI agents to control browser features through a local-only connection. This add-on provides AI assistants with safe access to tab management, browsing history, page search, and webpage text content via a local MCP (Model Context Protocol) connection.

Security-focused design: The add-on does not support arbitrary scripting or web page modifications. Before accessing any webpage content, explicit user consent is required for each domain through browser-side permissions. This local-only, read-only permission system makes it safer for personal browser use compared to other browser automation tools.

Note: This add-on requires a separate MCP server component, which is available at the Github repository.
