PIB Pirajuí

The First Baptist Church (PIB) of Pirajuí was founded in 1927 by missionaries from the PIBs of Bauru and Campinas (SP). Since then, the church has lived the challenge and privilege of promoting the "teaching of the apostles, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer". (Acts 2)

Going through several changes in the scenario of church history and performance in the world, PIB Pirajuí has ​​always been based on the Holy Scriptures, aligned with the vision given by God to the pastoral body, with the objective of being a relevant church in its time and in any circumstance. .

Being forged in the essence of its purpose and seeking maturity, our church went through several processes with persistence, focus, faith, love, trust and obedience. In this way, it managed to leave a cramped building, located in the center of the city, for a place with a capacity four times larger.

This advance was only possible due to the direction of Pastor Mário Pereira dos Santos, who shepherded PIB Pirajuí between 1994 and 2018, becoming, in this period, a remarkable ministry in the life of the church, the city and the region. Pastor Mário set a new pace for PIB and challenged members to say “yes” to progress.

Today, as head of the congregation is Pastor Mário Geraldo Pereira dos Santos, affectionately known as Pastor Marinho. Son of Pastor Mário and president of PIB, Pastor Marinho has continued his father's legacy and the vision given by the Lord through the expansion of the ministry and a renewed vibrancy through new experiences and challenges for the church.

We have sought to be the model of the early church by meeting in small groups from house to house, through cell ministry, aiming at the breadth of knowledge of the grace of God, through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as well as the multiplication of his members and new disciples.

Mission:
Glorify God, reaching lives, encouraging and promoting their growth and maturity, in order to prepare them in the power of the Holy Spirit to fulfill their calling.

Vision:
To be seen as a discipling church, which promotes the formation of healthy and mature disciples for the manifestation of the Kingdom of God in every place, moment or circumstance.
