LocatePet is a network to reunite pets with their families. It serves to mobilize the neighborhood when there is a lost pet, a sighting, or an animal on the street that needs help.

What you can do:

Lost Pet Alerts: Post an alert with a photo, description, and location. Those nearby can see it on the map, receive notifications, and help search.

Community: Share photos and context (stray animal, possibly lost, pet moment, adoption, and more). React, comment, and alert those in your area.

Map and Explore: See alerts, sightings, adoptions, and partners on the map. Filter by layers and explore what's happening near you.

Quick Sighting: See an animal on the street? Register it with a photo and location so those looking can cross-reference information.

Local Partners: Find clinics, pet shops, and support points in the area (when available on the map and in the directory).

Marketplace: Ads for pet products and services (depending on availability in your area).

Messages
Communicate safely about alerts and posts through the app's own channels.

Notifications
Receive relevant alerts, for example, when there is activity near you, according to your preferences and phone permissions.

Account and Privacy
Terms of use, privacy policy, and account deletion aligned with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law). You control what you share and can request account deletion.

How it works in practice
Create your profile (and, if you want, activate location and notifications so the app shows what matters in your area).
Post a lost alert or a post in the community.
Other people in the region can see it in the feed or on the map, react, comment, or contact you.
Use the map to track pins, sightings, and nearby support points.

Transparency
LocatePet is a platform that connects people. It does not replace veterinary care, official animal protection agencies, nor does it guarantee a specific outcome in each case. Always use common sense and the reporting channel for abusive or suspicious content.

Pilot Region
Initial validation focused on Campo Grande (MS). The app can already be used in other cities in Brazil with an address and radius of interest. The vision is to grow with real feedback from the communities.
