CroacNotify

CroacNotify is the Android client for the CroacNotify notification server — a self-hosted, open source alternative to ntfy, built for developers and teams who need instant alerts from any system or script.

📡 REAL-TIME CONNECTION
The app maintains persistent SSE (Server-Sent Events) connections to your CroacNotify server. Unlike polling-based solutions, notifications arrive the instant they are published.

🔔 NATIVE ANDROID NOTIFICATIONS
Each received message is displayed as a native system notification with:
• Title and message body
• Color-coded by type: info (blue), warning (yellow), error (red), success (green)
• Long text support (BigTextStyle)
• Tap to open the app

👤 ANONYMOUS MODE + SERVER LOGIN
Anonymous (local): add lists manually by entering the UUID and token. No account required.
Server mode: log in with your CroacWorks credentials to automatically see and subscribe to all lists on your server.

🔒 PRIVACY & SECURITY
• No data is sent to third parties
• Credentials are stored only on the device
• All communication happens exclusively between the app and your own server

Requirement: a running CroacNotify server accessible from the Android device.
