BookmarksDropDown is a Firefox extension that creates an easy-to-access, clickable bookmarks menu when the mouse pointer hovers above the browser viewport. This menu, mirroring your Bookmarks Toolbar, allows quick opening of bookmarks or folders with simple mouse clicks — including opening bookmarks in current or new tabs, and bulk opening folder bookmarks efficiently.

Customization options let you display website favicons, adjust styles and colors for readability, control menu visibility duration, and manage bookmark loading preferences for folder contents. For example, you can sort bookmarks alphabetically or open multiple bookmarks with one click. Note that the standard Bookmarks Toolbar must be disabled for the extension to work, and it doesn't operate on special browser pages. BookmarksDropDown enhances bookmark navigation, making your Firefox browsing faster and more streamlined.

I wanted some way to toggle the Bookmarks Toolbar on a tab without turning off the "Only Show on New Tab" option for showing the Bookmarks Toolbar. In other words, a way to *temporarily* show the Bookmarks Toolbar on a tab. This is the only option I've found that fulfills that need, even if it's not the exact same Bookmarks Toolbar.
