This game is great again & I much prefer it now with bot options to the old live games which were hit & miss as far as opponents & wld often freeze mid game. I was originally bummed when the multiplayer online (thru fb) was euthanized, but this is so much BETTER. Took me a while to figure out how to log on or what to do with it once I did as the extension is so diff from app on iPhone & previous live site. I explain below for any newbies. PRO TIPS: * If playing the EXTENSION on desktop/laptop via chrome, expect it to be a nice UI, unlike most game extensions. * Find it via EXTENSIONS page where all yr EXT are managed. Once launched it opens on yr desktop & youll see it on your lower TOOLBAR/DOCK if Mac. * Before playing even, right click the ICON/ALIAS on yr desktop and contextual menu will offer OPTIONS. * Choose SAVE IN DOCK so u never have to access again via EXT tab. It will live there on yr dock & is stand-alone so u wont have to go into extensions when u want to play. Chrome will open automatically but u dont have to go thru Chrome to activate DOMINOES. Just minimize Chrome windows so they arent in way when playing ***Important. When launching, don’t choose LOG IN field like before. If u even remember yr username & password, it will be a dead zone so you no longer need to sign in. YAY. Instead click SINGLE PLAYER next to old login button. Even if you want a 4-player game, choose SINGLE PLYR. Game options come next. GAME SELECTION drop-downs: /All Fives /All Threes (most challenging & my fave with 4 plyrs)) /Draw /Block PLAYERS: 2, 3, 4, or 4(2 vs 2) BOT SKILL LEVEL: •Easy•Medium•Hard• These aren’t lame bots that all play the same automatically, no matter the level. They are pretty accurately named so challenge yrself. They also are not the rigged, absurd, “isn’t that just perfect for you, Mr Cheating AI Ninja?!” who deals you 5 doublet tiles to play against his 5, full of variety, in a BLOCK or DRAW game… regardless of those few reviewers claiming they can’t beat the bot. I am pretty sure those whiners aren’t the great players they think they are. The HARD BOT is challenging though and I always play that level, usually against 3 other players. I win about 60% of my hard bot games and a little more than half when playing 2 vs 2, though I scream at my baseball capped partner when he does dumb. So challenge yrself against the hard bots in an ALL THREES game. Why just play BLOCK against 1 easy bot? Where’s the fun in that? Of course you will get the occasional dud distribution deal on occasion… just like in real live dominoes. POINTS PER GAME: 50-200 depending on which variation. SCORING: International or Spanish - though it has never been the Spanish scoring I learned where you get extra points if you end the round with the same bone #, sandwiched on either end… but ok, it is just different from what most of us learned was Spanish The developers should have fixed that glitch for consistency though as I think they have it backwards. This a good and challenging well-developed program, not lacking in complexity, like so many mediocre dominoes out there. The UI is clean, simple & easy to navigate. It’s not bloated with colorful animations and intolerable game “music” like many. My only suggestion would be to let us keep track of our stats. Ongoing game scores or tallies would be cool. At least for our top 20 best. Oh and it would be nice to be able to choose a larger FONT SIZE when playing on a phone screen at times. Really hard to differentiate 1-pips with their light green color from blank ones. Thanks PLAY DRIFT! ____ UPDATE: 1 star I got used to no longer playing live against players or friends in the lobby… so OK. Not as much fun just taking on the bots BUT at least I could play all 4 variations without the normal old server log-in or via fb… As of this morning I am unable to play at all… REPEATEDLY CRASHING and its not just after you’ve been playing awhile. Its so instant that it won’t even load. Chrome says you are “AWARE OF THE PROBLEM” so I have faith that youll fix the glitch for those of us LOYAL USERS who have used it for years but now adapted to the changes. PLEASE GET IT WORKING AGAIN… Thanks ~~~~~~~~~~~ ORIG REVIEW 2017: 4 of 5 stars LOVE this game both here in my browser, on my Mac desktop, via facebook AND on my iphone... great... only thing lacking is a READY button on the mobile versions.... oh also a page for FAQ would be real helpful.. i still have not figured out what the joystick icon means or the way our ratings go up and down etc... where do we set up a photo? some have it some don't |

| 2019-09-09 |  | | en | I have read reviews that state this app is not rigged. Then answer this, how can I amass 580 points then within two weeks drop to 80 points. If you enjoy domino's you will, like me have to accept the rigged situation and when you are losing i/e 50/0, and you will know you should not be, just leave, then re launch. Such a shame because in comparison with other domino sites this feels and looks good. Like I say just accept. Oh and don't view the chat rooms. Kids who have not grown up. |

The previous version was great because you could set the settings and -- done -- easy to find; easy to manage. I loved the game but can't play with my audio on because the dang click sound is impossible to find and turn off. I'm done. |
