Queria Toolbar for Google Chrome™

Search the entire web from the comfort of your browser.

Queria Toolbar for Google Chrome™ is a versatile browser extension that allows users to search multiple search engines instantly from one convenient toolbar. Designed for speed and minimalism, it opens as a balloon popup, preserving valuable vertical screen space and keeping your Chrome browser looking clean and spiffy. Familiar to users of the classic Google Toolbar, Queria Toolbar offers full customization options: change default search engines, swap logos, hide unused buttons, and create as many custom search engines as you desire—including favorites like Lifehacker.

The extension comes preloaded with 7 built-in search engines but is flexible enough to accommodate personal preferences for speed and efficiency. Version 3.0.3 resolves known bugs and improves forward compatibility, ensuring a seamless, clutter-free searching experience on Chrome.

User reviews

Users appreciate the Queria Toolbar as a useful and simple addition to Google Chrome, praising its convenience and ease of access. However, several reviews report a significant issue where custom buttons are deleted upon closing or opening the options menu, limiting the ability to maintain multiple custom search engines. Additionally, the toolbar struggles with custom search engines that require the search term to be embedded in the middle of the URL rather than at the end. Overall, it is deemed good but has notable issues with managing custom searches.
Pros
  • Highly regarded as a great toolbar addition to Google Chrome.
  • Users find it very good and useful.
  • Simple toolbar access with the click of a button.
Cons
  • Custom buttons except the first are deleted when the options menu is closed or opened, leading to loss of multiple custom search engines.
  • No ability to save or maintain multiple custom search engines effectively.
  • Does not handle custom search engines where the search term is located in the middle of the URL, only at the end.

All but the first of the custom buttons are deleted when the menu is closed. No way to save multiple custom search engines. Have to use Search Engines extension to get all my engines. This one is okay for default searches, but not custom searches.
