Are there suddenly a whole lot more "opportunities" for the extension to skip the ads for you? You bet cha. The number of ads "spots" increased nearly 3-fold after I installed the extension. I even tested it by counting the number of ads with the extension disabled and then counting them when it was active. That's where I got my 3-fold number. It's as if the extension is somehow implementing the old trick of creating a problem just so you can be the hero who solves it. Having to sit through those black screens at a rate 3x higher than if I just watched the ad made me feel like I had been bamboozled. Looks like I need to begin following my own old trick by remembering that "If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is." Uninstalled. 2 Star review because it technically did do what it said it was going to do but made the problem seem worse than it actually was so people would think more highly of the extension's capabilities. I would be more than happy to do a screen-record of what I'm talking about so you could see it for yourself. Perhaps the increase in ads is being perpetrated by YouTube and not the App developer. Should that be the case and the developer can substantiate that claim I will also be more than happy to amend my review and spit my vitriol at YouTube |
