What is skipButton.js?

skipButton.js is a Chrome extension that adds a red skip button to YouTube ads, automatically skips YouTube ads, hides YouTube ad banners, and allows you to skip ads on any other website. It offers two settings - Auto Skip and Hide Banners. The source code is available on GitHub.

What it does:

How to use: When the extension is active, the red skip button will appear whenever there is a YouTube ad playing. On other websites, ads can be skipped with the "Manual Skip" button in the extension popup menu.

There are two settings which can be accessed through the popup:

"Auto Skip" causes YouTube ads to be skipped without requiring the skip button to be clicked
"Hide Sponsored" causes YouTube sponsored videos to be hidden from the front page, search results and recommendations
