blindspot-privacy Firefox

blindspot-privacy

Sometimes you don't want private browsing, you just want to hit pause. Blindspot lets you temporarily stop recording history with a single click on the toolbar icon. You can also add specific domains that should never appear in your history.

Features & Capabilities

Blindspot gives you a simple pause button for your browsing history — no need to open a private window.

Features

  • One-click pause: Click the toolbar icon to stop recording history. Click again to resume. The icon turns red so you always know when you're in a blindspot.
  • Block specific sites: Add domains that should never appear in your history, even when Blindspot isn't paused.

Manage your list in Settings

  • Right-click to block: Right-click any page to instantly block or unblock that site.
  • Cleans up closed tabs: Blocked sites are also removed from your "Recently Closed Tabs" list.
  • Fully local: No data is collected or sent anywhere. Your blocked list is stored locally in your browser.
How is this different from private browsing? Private browsing is all-or-nothing and opens a separate window. Blindspot lets you stay in your normal browser session and just pause history for a few minutes, or permanently hide specific sites.
