What is Cognition Flex?

Cognition Flex is a free-adjustable cognitive training platform by Cognition Matters. Unlike its predecessor, Vektor that follows a set 40-day training plan, Cognition Flex lets users opt exercises according to their specific needs. Though it carries almost similar exercises as in Vektor, the efficacy has not been scientifically validated yet. It serves as a tool for those interested in experimenting with cognitive training and like to share their experiences.

Vektor - a magical math training

Cognition Matters has previously released the research-based, math training app Vektor. Since fall of 2016, it has been used by tens of thousands of six-year olds in Sweden. On average the children has progressed close to one standard deviation, which usually takes about a year of traditional education. The response has been very positive from both children and teachers.

Cognition Flex - a free experiment

Since the launch of Vektor, we have had requests from teachers to release a training tool where children can choose which tasks to focus on, rather than go through a pre-specified 40-day plan. This can be useful, for example, for an older child that wants to work extra specifically with the numberline, but not with cognitive training, or the other way around.
