This add-on used to work great, but like many similar extensions, it hasn’t been keeping up with YouTube’s recent changes — hover previews are back to autoplaying non-stop for me. Just switched to a brand-new userscript that’s only ~2 weeks old and already has flawless 5-star reviews: → Search GreasyFork for “YouTube - Block Autoplay Preview Thumbnail & Channel Trailer” → Install it with Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey (both available on Firefox too). What I love about this script: • 100% blocks thumbnail hover previews + channel trailers • Updates come lightning-fast whenever YouTube breaks something • Zero background permissions, way lighter than any extension • Works perfectly on Firefox too Made the switch a few days ago and my YouTube homepage finally feels peaceful again. If you’re annoyed by autoplaying thumbnails, this little script is currently the best fix out there — highly recommend giving it a shot! 🚀
