Better Tab was designed to make your browser more useful! Lots of customizations to make Better Tab your own!

Right on your homepage or in a new tab you will have:

News feed: News in dozens of languages, you can choose the highlights from your region or from your favorite news site! It is also possible to add any RSS Feed link (in XML) to stay always informed!
To-do list: Add your tasks to a to-do list, move tasks to set priority, delete when done, and easily access your tasks in the extension popup!
List of events and appointments: Add reminders, birthdays and meetings... and have this information all the time!
Shortcuts to websites: Choose if you want a simpler layout with just a search and a Speed Dial list with 20 of your favorite sites! Add, remove and rearrange sites however you like. You can also choose a background image to make your Better Tab even more personalized!

It's good for what it does but for 4 star: 1 - Allow custom speed dial links 2 - Allow choosing different or custom search engine 5 star: 3 - Open source to gain trust

It gives you a better alternative new tab, but the personalized icons are fiddly. Trying to click one will generally move it to a different spot instead of opening the page in question. Arranging the icons intothe order you would like is like moving in slow motion. Needs more work

Need to be able to upload from PC for background photos most url backgrounds for speed dial don't work anyway. Also links need to open in new window. Cheers.
