BelAir is a Chrome extension providing personalized air quality information throughout Belgium. Utilizing data from over 100 automatic monitoring stations combined with advanced modeling techniques, BelAir estimates air quality levels even in areas without direct measurements. The extension features the BelAQI air quality index, which rates the air quality from "very good" to "horrible" by analyzing concentrations of nitrogen dioxide, particulate matter, and ozone based on their short-term health impacts.

Beyond current and forecasted air quality, BelAir also offers insights into long-term air pollution exposure by comparing annual average concentrations with European and World Health Organization health standards. This comprehensive approach helps users understand both immediate and long-term air quality risks, promoting better health awareness across Belgium.
